The Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology (KIOST) recently announced that it received “Best of Fair Recruitment” certification for the second consecutive year. The presentation ceremony was held on July 8 at KIOST’s headquarters in Busan.

Best of Fair Recruitment is a designation awarded by the Korea Management Registrar (based on an extensive screening process) to public institutions and/or corporations that operate an exemplary employment system devoid of prejudice and focus on fair hiring according to work-related capabilities.

KIOST hires employees with such focus on capabilities and potential for career-related development, without discriminating in terms of age, level of education, or birthplace, etc. It received the certification for meeting the criteria in nine evaluation categories (and 59 sub-categories) under the three components of Hiring System, Operation, and Outcome .
